Amazon Power Bank Companies Are Lying To You…..

I opened up a fake apple MagSafe battery pack only to find out that the capacity advertised was not the actual capacity of the battery pack. That got me wondering, who else is lying about their capacity. In this video, we find out the answer to that question.

  1. Sorry dude but another comment… you did this without testing them? Just relied on what was printed on the batteries. Oh damn. It would have been so easy

  2. Kudos for the effort, but I do have a slight problem with all this. I wouldn’t read labels to determine these power banks performance. I would design, to the best of my ability, a workbench test to run for all the batteries with similar parameters. This testing will not only determine the best power bank but also what brands are lying about their capacity. Let us say that 90 or 110 percent of the specs advertised would be acceptable. The same way the power bank company could be lying, the company that manufactures the battery could be doing that as well.

  3. Dears : I am a owner of power bank factory from China , and I have a new model very beautiful model power bank ,and could you help me to test it and put the taste video on Youtube ?

  4. Honestly i am sick of this i want to sue people over it im so done people demand respect for the time they spend getting those products. They cost money and most cost our time. They owe us. Period.

  5. 2:36 I can definitely back INIU as i have been using it for almost 2 years and it can last for 3 days on one charge. 👍

  6. Hey Guys! A lot of criticism on this video about how I came to the conclusion that some battery packs were lying about their capacity. Let me explain why I did this the way I did. The reason I did not charge and discharge these batteries was to save time ( I am running a full-scale repair business as well as creating these videos). While there is a slight chance the writing on the batteries was fabricated the likelihood of that is not high. Batteries in battery packs are often sourced from different manufacturers than those who create the battery packs, which is why the stamping on the batteries were different from the advertised mAh of the packs that we’re being dishonest. The point of this video was to raise awareness of this issue and ensure any individual buying a battery pack from Amazon, Ali express or any similar website thinks twice before purchasing a battery pack with absurd advertised capacities. If anyone would like to charge and discharge the batteries I have taken a look at in this video, feel free to tag me and I will repost the video. P.S – my team and I use two of these battery packs currently and are planning to make one large battery pack with the leftover batteries ( Aside from the pierced one ). Hope this clears up any confusion, once again thank you guys so much for the support and I hope you guys are having a wonderful day 🙂

  7. Good intent for the video but for people who who cant afford a power back and really wish to it would have been much better if you were able to disassemble them safely/neatly and then given them away to your subscribers like me 🙂

  8. The Inui battery Pack IS however being dishonest (and they all do it). Most ppl will believe that the 10,000mAH applies to the 5V they are using not the native 3.7V of the internals.

  9. Really informative video I see over million folks won’t be getting scammed a lot of folks will be telling their friends which power banks to avoid; Good Work.

  10. You should do a follow-up video and look into power banks 100000 mAh and above. Some are very cheap, e.g. less than $US 10. Bargain!

  11. INiu (pronounced Eeneuu), makes very good and high quality power banks and phone accessories. I’ve been using their stuff for some time and it is honestly quite good.

  12. This is all originating from aliebaba and aliexpress, thats where the BS marketing on MAH capacity starts, every reseller/dropshipper basically uses their advertising images.

  13. Hi, I hope you are doing well. I have a question. Do generally good-brand power banks damage a phone’s battery in the long run? For example, does a Samsung power bank have an impact on a phone’s battery life if used regularly? Thanks..

  14. When did the method for expressing mAh include "at 1V"? If you buy an 18650 and it says, "800mAh" I assume they meant at the rated voltage of 3.7V. This reminds me of the old audio speaker/amp scam (which is still going on after 50 years) of displaying "peak" or "rms" Wattage of thousands of Watts from a 4W speaker. It’s too bad there are no "consumer protections" in the USA. I would go so far as to say that if you see any number on any product, it is a lie. Why would you think every powerbank manufacturer is a liar and yet every battery manufacturer tells the truth? And we haven’t even talked about the usable capacity, as they would never let you deplete a battery. Amazon is, of course, a criminal enterprise with no interest in the truth.

  15. I watched this in 2023 i I haven’t watched since early 2024 but I’m back in mid 2024 but still it was 2y ago but still this guy is spending his own money just to expose them wow I also watched the usb vid

  16. you should consider the voltage also so if we do The math most Phones takes 5 V and in these power banks they are rated as 3.7 V let’s take for example 10,000mAH if we multiply it by 3.7V divided by 5V That Would give us
7400mAH Which is the actual capacity

  17. There does not exist a single power bank in the world that actually has the capacity printed on it. They’re not "lying", it’s the way shit works. Same way when you buy a 512 GB card, you get less than 512GB. The ones you claim "aren’t lying" such as the 10k mah INIU, is in fact NOT 10k at all. It’s less than 8k. Go ahead and test it

  18. You can also buy some modular power banks that you can place your own battery in there.Only 18650 batteries can fit in there
