  1. I still find surprising when someone has a PROBLEM with wife/girlfriend when replacing tv or subwoofer or anything else for that matter.

  2. I’ve noticed that unless a TV is no less than 80 or even 85-inch diagonal, it does not look like even close to how it would, if we were within realistic distance from such views. Though I gave into getting 75 inch, because of the difference in prices, and it is a 120 hz. less than that is obviously not very good at all for live programs. But, I have not opened up the packaging yet, even after almost two years. Because I did not think through my very limited one room "apartment" And I did not buy or think about mounting options to fix extremely limited space. That may coast at least $300. to get above my head level mounted to make using it possible. So, I may need to get one of those very nice projector types I have seen.

  3. @Thetechchap thanks so much for the great review! Could you please advise on the next best TV up from the TLC98P745K for image quality. Thanks.

  4. Hello I’m wanting to know if this can handle live sport as I watch a lot of football here in the UK….
The TCL has drawn me in with the price for 98 inch….I’ve a 75 LG NANOCELL that’s been great but I’m looking for something budget friendly and big.
Great review as it’s difficult to get a UK based review so thank you.
    Many thanks

  5. Dumb question – I have a G93SC connected to a Windows mini PC, to have the screen just turn off after a period do I just go into Power Settings on my PC? Or do I have to mess with the OSD? It has a Panel Care screensaver after 2 mins as I understand it but I want a fully blacked out low power state which will automatically turn on when I mess with the mouse/keyboard. Cheers.

  6. How tf does one get to the point that electronics manufacturers will send you a 98” TV “sample”?? 🤣😂

  7. Why would anyone use a tv’s speakers or a sound bar? I use a surround sound receiver with svs ultra speakers with my 80 inch 1080p tv. Looking to upgrade to 4k and bigger tv.

  8. Besides mobility the st projectors loose badly nowadays in all other aspects given fixed size of alr screen setup. I would pick last year’s hisense 100u8kq or wait a little bit for current year’s hisense 100u7kq to drop price (already at 2500e when you search). Or if you want better viewing angles wait for next model year of tcl or hisense with hva or ads pro panels respectively at those giant sizes.

  9. TCL have very bad after sales service.. when your TV habe problem they don’t have any spare parts and they will push u to switch with lower spec tv from their old stocks..

  10. It’s backed by the Chinese government. Of course it’s cheaper. That’s the problem nowadays. Also everyone promoting it.

  11. 400nits with bigger tv sizes is not a problem because tv size alone is enough to offset that. Nits are not so important.

  12. Love watching movies. I used to do Sunday movie nights with my family, and if only we had a TV that big, it would have made the experience 100 times better! I’ve got to get my hands on one.

  13. As a new viewer of your channel, might I ask a question that has a tentative connection to the subject matter … size and value !
So let me ask which would you choose… a 86” version ( trying to go like for like ) of this 2024 TCL or a LG 86QNED91 from 2021/2 ?
The cost would be £1200 / 1100 and it’s brand new with full warranty !
My current tv is an eight yr old 55” Sony LCD that has seen better days about 9 yrs ago !

I would very much appreciate your thoughts . Thks

  14. Come one AMERICA! enough already…JUST when I thought the massive 85" was the biggest possible!
Now WE WANT A FREAKING 98"
    ENOUGH!

  15. I am bummed ooot that my media room ceiling isn’t high enough to accommodate a 100 inch TV. God, why are you doing this to me?

  16. yeh im thinking of getting one for my apartment here in asia. Here the price is £1200 inc delivery and installation. You just cant beat size for immersion.

  17. This is a perfect tv for your garage or home bar for sports & parties then have your OLED for personal entertainment. 😉
