🔧 INSTALLATION
-Plastic screen protectors are terrible to install
-Glass screen protectors that cost more usually have better install tools

💥 DURABILITY AND IMPACT RESISTANCE
-Plastic is the toughest screen protector you can get
-BUT plastic screen protectors are terrible for scratch protection
-Impact protection for glass depends on the quality
-Glass screen protector provide the best scratch resistance

🌈 CLARITY AND TOUCH SENSITIVITY
-Nothing beats glass in terms of clarity
-Glass is easier to keep clean
-Plastic will show wear and tear quicker

-Plastic screen protectors despite being tougher, don’t last as long in screen drop scenarios

  1. I think I speak for most people when I say we’re more worried about paying for cracked phones at $200+ and less worried about scratches. Plastic is where it’s at

  2. I want to get the "Mous Ultra Resistant Hybrid Glass Screeen Protector" for my new iphone 14 pro, but the reviews on Amazon are so bad compared to the comments here. Everybody saying it’s a bad fit and that it attracts dust like crazy. Anyone able to make remarks on this? Thanks in advance!

  3. 3:29 that’s so true Amazon has really been lowering its quality for the past 5 years.
Taking away what made Amazon so great.

  4. Will you be testing the Bodyguardz Apex tempered glass protector? I see it came out recently this year and it costs a whopping $80, can you make a video about it? Thanks!

  5. People just need to be more careful with their stuff. Don’t put in dangerous situations or in same bag/pocket as other stuff. Don’t stack them on top of each other or put them face down on tables.

  6. Put liquid screen protector over plastic screen protector, and it helps to make it smoother and a little better scratch resistant

  7. I haven’t used plastic screen protectors in years. I currently have a Spigen glass protector on my phone. Before that I was using a Benks Glass Warrior until I somehow got a deep scratch on it from my keys.

  8. Can you stop just saying iPhone every time you reference any generic phone. The iPhone is far from the only mobile device you’d want a screen protector for.

  9. 8:01 Are you saying I don’t have to replace my Mous screen protector if it has a few cracks in it? My screen is still protected? Because that would be amazing.

  10. I just hate glass screen protectors for my phone bc i drop it so often its always cracked. With plastic, even if it completely falls apart at the seams & is hideous, it won’t injure me for procrastinating lmao

  11. Sir protect over secreen mobile dropage which is good plastic or glass protector. Which help in more protection of mobile.

  12. I have found the new RhinoShield 3D impact to be incredibly fragile compared to the old versions. I purchased a matte version last year and a small drop on the edge tore the screen protector and sliced it 5mm into the screen area. I have never had RhinoShield split open like this and I’ve used them since the year after they launched the company. I thought oh, ok, bad luck. So I ordered another one, transparent this time (matte turns out not to be my jam) and this time it didn’t last a month before a car door bumped the edge of the screen and it split open like a banana again.

Wish it wasn’t so, they have been my go-to brand for almost a decade, but recent experience has me wondering if their is a design or chemistry problem with the new protectors.

  13. I need one for my Digital Camera LCD screen. With no glare. !!
The least amount of glare that’s possible. Glass.? or Film.?

  14. You need to start ecosystem setups and review how they all work together ipad stands laptop docs etc. Would love to see you do some new types of reviews. Love your work. Keep it up

  15. I’m not worried about scratching my screen so much as finger prints. What is the best smudge proof screen protector?

  16. I use tech armor HD clear plastic because my experience with glass is they break easily. Also the glass adds some weight. I change mine every couple of months. I may try the mouse hybrid now. I didn’t realize it existed. Thanks

  17. I still have a plastic screen protector on my XS Max and I have dropped the phone so often that drop protection is all I really care about. The trick for me was to go into the Apple store and have Apple install it. Heck, better them than me.

  18. @MobileReviewsEh
7:19 would love you to explain what self healing screen protectors are, how they work, if they have some for both plastic and glass and where we can find them.

  19. So I get literally 9 minutes into the vid, literally just before the conclusion, before I notice the full title of the video… but I’m only interested in GLASS protectors, and those 10 minutes just re-iterated why IMO. Doh!

  20. I actually like my Mous hybrid glass, had it on a few years now. It’s more prone to scratches, but doesn’t shatter as easily as glass. But the main thing I like about it is how thin it is. The only blemish is the edges are a little scratchy where glass can be nice and smooth.

  21. Great content. Question. Why would anyone carry their phone in the same pocket as their keys? Not smart. Put the phone in your back pocket. Never scratched my phone this way. I take a film screen protector over glass any day. Especially the Whitestone dome film screen protector. You use the uv light after putting it on it hardens like glass. And it fits all my cases, like Supcase unicorn beetle pro or I-Blason Armorbox or poetic spartan or otterbox defender pro. Using these cases with glass, the glass would always lift when changing from case to case.

  22. I feel like I’ve got a cursed iPhone 14 Pro – I’ve tried Mous Hybrid Glass and it was rainbowing (almost like it had bad adhesive), got another one from Mous support, still the same issue and even cheap glass protectors all also rainbow in the same way, even when I stuck one for an iPhone 8 on that I never had issues with. Do you have any clues as to why?

  23. What are your thoughts of the “Bodyguardz APEX”? And if there was one case to buy and if money wasn’t an issue what would it be? Love your videos super helpful and insightful.

  24. I don’t care about scratches on the protector, I only care that my phone doesn’t crack or scratch. So does (cheap) plastic offer better or worse protection than (cheap) glass ones?? Honestly the argument that you could keep using a cracked glass screen protector with a pieceo of tape over, but not a plastic one that starts peeling of on the edge – is quite silly to me 😅Surely you’d replace it either way. And why are we only starting at $40? I’m not paying $40 for a piece of plastic or glass lol
