The home internet needs of today are nothing like they were in the past and the demand increases all the time. What used to be a computer and an X-Box at home, is now 30-40 WiFi enabled devices, many that require high speed connections for 4K video streaming, gaming, and much more. You may be asking yourself which kind of home WifI setup you need, and in this video I will answer the question for whether you need a traditional wireless router, or a whole home mesh WiFi setup. The TP-Link Deco XE75 and TP-Linke Archer AXE75 are great products for 6E Wi-Fi at home, or at the office!

Can i use 3 of the routers and make them a mesh of their own? Also can i add decos to a tp link router?
Can you use both efficiently together?
deco’s from t mobile trash
I have watched several of your videos. Please send me a link and I’ll buy it. I have a 3000 sq ft, 2 story home. Kids and wife and myself with (several over 20) devices, from phones, smart tv’s, cameras and automated lights. We have Frontier with dedicated 1 gig up and down. Please send the link to a router and mesh system. Don’t care about cost. My kids and wife are driving me crazy with, “the internet sucks”.
Thank you for the great information! New router needed.
How did you get the Deco’s to connect to the router? I am thinking about doing this exact same setup, but nervous about compatibility. Would love some more information on this because the internet says they do not work in conjunction with each other.
Stupid question, but can one of the mesh units act as the primary router or are they just for the mesh?
If you have mesh, you don’t need a router?
Is it better to get the deco mesh, or buy two of the same router and mesh them together? or they both the same?

What to do when my mesh in my bedroom upstairs only reaches 4mbps while the router and mesh downstairs have 90+mbps? Doesnt that defeats the purpose of a mesh to begin with?
No wired backhaul capability?
I do not recommend DECO system. my experience has been terrible. the system has major flaw, they haven’t fixed. ( Port Sensenig) fails and renders the unit useless.
There is a third, "hybrid" option. You can go with a conventional TP-link router, and add extenders in OneMesh mode. That’s what I opted for.
There is so much useless commentary in this video… I’m over two minutes in and it’s nothing but fluff.
I have Xfinity in my house. Dosen’t work in my garage or outside . Do I need an Extender to reach those areas ? What kind ? How do ii hook it up ?. Wayne, Thanks
They need longer names for these routers.
One question what are your walls made from, none of mine are plaster board (dry wall) , i’m in the UK, all my internal walls are brick 5ghz no chance, 2.4ghz stuggles, great video though
tp link gecos junk

Looking for a router that supports WEB wireless Security instead WPA2 I want option please. I have AX6000 TP LINK
There is one huge upside to using a Mesh WiFi setup over the normal style of WiFi Router we all know about. Let’s say you own a TP-Link Deco Mesh system that comes with 3 devices. Now let’s say the main Deco device that had the broadband modem connected to ended up dying therefore you lost internet access. You can simple move one of the other Deco devices to where the broadband modem is located and get it back up running. If have a normal style of WiFi Router if that thing quits working for some reason you can SOL until you get it replaced.
Hi, I have tplink archer ax73 but not sufficient for whole house. What can I do? Does onemech and decomesh work together? Can i connect Onemesh with deco mesh?
So you don’t cover the TP-Link EasyMesh system at all? That could be the best of both worlds: Connecting multiple routers as a mesh, even with ethernet backhaul if you want. Really a great option if you need more LAN ports, so you don’t have to invest in switches..
( google for ‘TP-Link EasyMesh Devices’ )
Sigh. Here we are in Australia on 100-250mbps. Even third world countries have better and cheaper offerings
If i want to install Deco Mesh should i connect it to my router or can i just put it on 2nd floor then connect them through wifi connection? i need some help hahaha
why can’t you just get a router for each room instead of the mesh? wouldn’t it work the same for less price?
How well does it work, Att fiber optic modem
Great video. However I’m looking for a video how to install either of the products to a Comcast Gateway. Thanks
👍
Hello sir sorry to bother ya, I have a question I have starlink it’s great but I’m unable to reach my office in my barn that’s about 75ft from the router in the house, I’m unable to get a signal out there to connect my computer and security camera, could you please advise me on what to do with the starlink stuff?
Did I understand you to say you had both the axe and the Deco operating at the same time? how does that work? Can I leave my existing Router and add the mesh?
Do you have a video of how to connect the Deco as a wireless extender to the router? I purchased the exact same deco and router you used on this video but cannot figure out how to connect the deco as a wireless extender.
i live in a 4 Story home my router is at the ground floor and my pc is at 4th floor i barely have wifi
great video, cleared all my doubts and helped me make a right informed decisoin,
WE HAVE FIBER OPTIC CABLES!!! SHOW US FIBER OPTICS INPUT! SHEISSE!!
super helpful bro. as a fellow spectrum customer this was extremely helpful
I’m in an apartment where the Internet comes into a bedroom closet that backs onto the kitchen wall where the microwave is installed. I’m not sure how much signal degradation there is. I own an Archer AXE5400 as well as a DECO M9 Plus 2 unit Mesh units.
I don’t have any WIFI 6E devices yet. Do you know of a detailed installation video with the detailed router settings to create a MESH
network. I have ethernet capability in the office area which is the farthest area from the router closet. Apologies for the long description.
Hi, can you use the router (e.g. AXE75) as the centre of a mesh setup? (e.g. 3xXE75)
Typically, bandwidth is measured in megabits per second (Mbps), not in megabytes, as stated on this video.

I am struggling to get 70mbps on my Sky ISP, Meant to be superfast as well I think, lol, So I got the TP-Link AX3000 AX55 Router, For the VR, I am a Sim Racer who races online in AMS 2, But when there is a bust track of cars, Then I am getting stuttering going on, Making my gaming crap, I have issues with Virtual Desktop wireless, And I am paying for a Sky WiFi booster too, lol, I rang Sky earlier to be told I have to wait for an engineer to get a Router I bought working, lol, It is nuts, Why can’t I just plug the Router in and it work like the Sky router does, I got the Router tether working on my phone so the Router is configured but it is not letting the ISP connection go through to the Router, I can’t even fix it on the Sky help thing or self fix part, I tried by no luck, I am gutted coz the Sim Racing helps with Anxiety I suffer from, But when the Sim racing isn’t very smooth and it stutters it makes me look like a terrible driver when I am not, lol, 6.06 in the MP4 McLaren on the Nordsliefe in AMS 2 ain’t too shabby, Just the online experience isn’t up to scratch, Why Sky is still using old tech in the routers is being me, WiFi 7 is coming soon, And Sky still rolls out 5ghrtz, Not even WiFi 6, They would charge extra for that lol, Sky does an upgrade on the Routers but you needs certain package, I cannot get, lol, So this Router is my only option, lol, What would be the problem where the ISP light isn’t coming on, Or internet isn’t coming into the Router when everything is set up how I think it should be, lol…..
Is there any vids of people fixing connection issues why Sky as the ISP provider, Who uses Open Reach, That is fixing the issue of no internet coming into the Router,. I have internet but not with the AX3000 AX55 Archer Router, lol, Can anyone help me fix my connection problems, Or have I got to wait for an Engineer to sort it out….
rather than the mesh, why cant we just have a repeater?
Great video, I have 1G fiber internet, Right now I have a Asus GT-AX 11000 pro for gaming and Wifi, I am looking to another Router, I was think of getting another Asus Ax11000 pro, Or 2 Asus zenwifi pro ET12, Which setup do you think will give me faster speeds with more courage?
I have a small apartment 1100 sq ft one floor. My ring camera is having connectivity issues after 3 years of having no issues. Will a router and mesh be best? My ring camera is at my front door, but I’ve noticed there’s way more ring cameras now within my apartment complex. High end router or just go with mesh router?
i have a main tplink archer router, i bought a the deco s4 3pack thinking it would be like extenders – now the main deco is taking over as the main router and my speeds have dropped tremendously- any advice ?
"If you have any questions leave them in the comments"
Sure..
Thanks, you convinced me to get the Google Nest WiFi Pro G6ZUC. I was on the fence of either getting the router or the mesh setup.
